Fatal motorcycle crash near Pembina under investigation

A fatal motorcycle crash occurred on Saturday, June 14, 2025, on southbound Interstate 29, approximately 3.5 miles south of Pembina, North Dakota. The incident took place around 4:30 PM CDT under sunny weather conditions and on a road with good conditions.

The crash involved a single vehicle, a 2007 Big Dog K-9 Motorcycle. The driver, identified as Elian Martinez, aged 25 from Cavalier, ND, was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The motorcycle left the roadway at a curve and rolled over.

Agencies responding to the scene included the North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP), Pembina County Sheriff’s Office, and Pembina Ambulance. The investigation into the crash is ongoing by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
