Two injured in head-on collision near Northern Cass Public School

On Friday, June 13, at around 8:00 AM, a head-on collision occurred on Cass County Road 26, about half a mile west of Northern Cass Public School. The crash involved two vehicles: a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe and a 2024 Toyota RAV4.

The driver of the Hyundai Santa Fe, a 41-year-old woman from Fargo, sustained serious injuries. She was wearing a seatbelt and the airbag deployed during the crash. Authorities have charged her with criminal vehicular injury, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Toyota RAV4 was driven by a 54-year-old woman from Galesburg, ND. She suffered minor injuries and was also using a seatbelt with an airbag deployment. Charges against her are still under investigation.

A juvenile passenger from Hope, ND in one of the vehicles also sustained serious injuries but was restrained by a seatbelt.

Agencies responding to the scene included the North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP), Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Hunter Fire Department, Sanford Ambulance Service, and Sanford AirMed. The road conditions were reported as good with partly cloudy weather at the time of the incident.
