On June 7, 2025, a fatal collision occurred at the intersection of 36th Street South and Westrac Drive in Fargo. The crash involved a motorcycle and a vehicle. According to reports, the incident took place at approximately 11:30 a.m.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol said that the road and weather conditions were good at the time of the accident. The crash was identified as a T-bone type collision involving a 2015 Indian Scout motorcycle and a 2018 Ford Expedition.
The motorcycle, driven by a 26-year-old male from Fargo, was traveling northbound on 36th Street South at high speed. It failed to stop at the stop sign at the four-way stop-controlled intersection with Westrac Drive. Meanwhile, the Ford Expedition, driven by a 47-year-old male from West Fargo, was traveling eastbound on Westrac Drive. After stopping at the intersection, it proceeded forward when it was struck on its passenger side by the motorcycle.
As a result of the crash, the motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries despite wearing a helmet. The driver of the Ford Expedition was unharmed, while his passenger, a 55-year-old female from West Fargo, suffered minor injuries. Both occupants of the vehicle were using seatbelts.
The incident is currently under investigation by authorities including the North Dakota Highway Patrol and Fargo Police Department.
