Construction at Kota Ray Dam in Williston, North Dakota, has been completed. The park reopened for day use on June 6, 2025. Camping and reservations will begin on June 9, with the online reservation system opening at 8:30 am for bookings through October 31. Visitors are advised to follow on-site signage for navigation.

The park had been closed since 2024 for improvements. New features include a youth pedal park, reconfigured campsites, and modern comfort stations. Additionally, a lakeside lawn-chair amphitheater has been added and will host events later this summer. The first concert by the Parks Department is scheduled for July 19.
