Residents have been informed about the ongoing reconstruction of East Century Avenue by Knife River Corporation. The project involves several phases, including temporary roadways and underground utility updates.
Currently, traffic is being directed onto a temporary gravel roadway from the west limit to Stonewall Drive. This arrangement is expected to remain until mid-August. Residents are advised to follow all traffic control signs and stay alert while navigating the construction zone.
Underground crews are working on watermain and storm sewer updates. The watermain work is nearing completion, after which efforts will focus on installing new storm sewers.
Additionally, work is progressing on expanding 52nd Street NE to connect with East Century Avenue. Underground work in this area has been completed, and the project has moved into the grading phase in preparation for asphalt paving.
