Bismarck City offices and the landfill will not operate on Monday, May 26th, in observance of Memorial Day. Consequently, there will be no garbage or curbside recycling (gold route) collection services on that day.
The holiday schedule for garbage and curbside recycling collections indicates a one-day delay throughout the week. Collections typically scheduled for Monday will occur on Tuesday, Tuesday's collections on Wednesday, and so forth. Residents are advised to place their garbage and recycling out by 6:00 a.m. on their designated collection day or the evening before. Crews will not revisit locations where items were not placed out in time for initial collection.
The landfill will remain closed on Memorial Day but resume operations from Tuesday through Saturday between 6:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Similarly, the Household Hazardous Waste & Electronics Recycling Center will be closed on Monday but open from Tuesday to Thursday between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
