Flags ordered half-staff in North Dakota for Memorial Day observance

In Bismarck, North Dakota, Governor Kelly Armstrong has issued a directive for all government agencies to lower the United States and North Dakota flags to half-staff on Monday, May 26. This observance is in honor of Memorial Day and will last until noon. Armstrong also encourages residents across the state to follow suit at their homes and businesses.

Governor Armstrong is set to participate in a Memorial Day ceremony at noon on Monday at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery. The cemetery is situated approximately 6.5 miles south of Mandan along State Highway 1806. This event is open to the public without charge and will be available via livestream at https://www.ndguard.nd.gov/.

Additionally, Lieutenant Governor Michelle Strinden will address attendees during another Memorial Day ceremony scheduled for 3 p.m. on Monday at the Fargo National Cemetery, located at 8709 40th Ave N., County Rd 20, Harwood.
