Effective immediately, as of 3:00 pm CST on May 22, 2025, all zones in Williams County are now restricted to a 7-ton axle weight limit with a maximum gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 105,500 pounds. This restriction applies to all gravel and chip seal roads within the county and townships. The new regulation prohibits any oversize travel, including over height, over length, and overweight vehicles until further notice. Permits previously approved for oversize travel are now void. Roads will be re-evaluated throughout the day.

On May 21, 2025, it was announced that all zones in Williams County and township gravel and chip seal roads would continue to be restricted to a GVW of 20,000 pounds until further notice. Permits approved prior to this announcement were also declared void.

Earlier on May 19, 2025, restrictions were put in place limiting all zones in Williams County and township gravel and chip seal roads to a GVW of 20,000 pounds starting at 8:00 am CST. Any permits approved before this time were rendered void.

Road conditions will continue to be assessed throughout each day to determine if changes to these restrictions are necessary.
