The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) is set to hold public information meetings regarding proposed improvements to U.S. Highway 85. The meetings are scheduled for Wednesday, May 28, and Thursday, May 29, from 5-7 p.m. Mountain Time.

On May 28, the meeting will take place at the Fairfield Fire Hall located at 12823 20th Street SW in Fairfield. The following day, on May 29, it will be held at the Belfield Memorial Hall at 107 2nd Avenue NE in Belfield. Both sessions will follow an open house format with a formal presentation starting at 5:30 p.m.

The project involves widening U.S. Highway 85 from two lanes to four lanes. Representatives from NDDOT and Apex Engineering Group will be present to answer questions and address concerns.

A pre-recorded presentation along with other materials can be accessed on the NDDOT website or directly through the project webpage.

The NDDOT emphasizes that it will consider requests for reasonable accommodations to ensure accessibility for people with disabilities during these meetings. Additionally, language interpretation and translation services will be provided upon request.
