Mandan Public School District has announced that Mandan High School's summer classes will commence on Tuesday, May 27. The district provided additional information regarding the program for students and families.
According to the Mandan Public School District, summer classes at Mandan High School will be conducted on campus, with swim and health courses taking place at the Brave Center Aquatic Center. The program is divided into two semesters: May 27–June 11 and June 12–27. Driver’s Education will run from June 9–26 for classwork and continue through July 18 for behind-the-wheel sessions. Classes are generally scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., although courses such as summer biology, Driver’s Ed, and online classes have separate instructions.
Students are advised to bring notebooks, writing tools, snacks, and wear appropriate clothing for outdoor activities; iPads will be distributed during the first week. Bussing services are available only for field trips. Attendance is mandatory with only one absence permitted per semester; three tardies equate to one absence. Serious infractions like drug use or insubordination may lead to immediate dismissal. Field trips form part of the curriculum for certain classes, and students are expected to maintain proper conduct during off-campus activities.
Mandan High School is located at 2335 4th Ave NW, Mandan, ND, under the leadership of Principal Mark Andresen, Assistant Principals Aaron Koenig and Alyssa Caya, and Activities Director Mark Weist. The school admits students who have completed eighth grade with recommendations from their previous school. Transfer students must provide a satisfactory transcript and a North Dakota Department of Health Certificate of Immunization. New students must present proof of identification through student records or a certified birth certificate.
