The Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library is launching its 2025 Summer Reading Challenge, titled "Color Our World." This initiative aims to celebrate art and creativity alongside reading. Participants are encouraged to explore new interests and engage in diverse artistic expressions through various activities.

The challenge, accessible via Beanstack, allows participants of all ages to track their reading progress throughout the summer. By logging reading time, earning badges, and completing activities, participants can win prizes while enjoying creative discovery. Every 150 minutes of logged reading earns a badge, and reaching 600 minutes awards a free book along with a badge.

Prize drawings will occur every two weeks during the challenge period, with age-appropriate and art-related prizes available. The event promotes shared experiences among families and individuals as they read together.

The challenge runs from May 28 to July 27, 2025. It is free and open to all ages. More information can be obtained by contacting Traci Juhala, Head of Youth Services at the Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library.
