Agriculture fund committee to review multiple projects on May 28

The Agriculture Diversification and Development (ADD) Fund Committee is scheduled to meet on Wednesday, May 28, at 10:00 a.m. The meeting will take place at the North Central Research Extension Center in Minot, North Dakota.

The agenda includes a call to order followed by a business meeting covering minutes, financials, and eligibility questions. Various project proposals will be reviewed throughout the day.

At 10:30 a.m., Dakota Hurd Co. LLC from Wahpteon, ND, represented by Justin Berg, will present their project with a total cost of $2,101,986 and a funding request of $211,514.

Following this presentation at 10:50 a.m., GMG Ranch, LLP from Milnor, ND, represented by Brent & Anissa Gregor, will discuss their project costing $1,000,000 with a requested amount of $300,000.

American Crystal Sugar Company from Hillsboro, ND will present next at 11:10 a.m., with Nicholas Elliott representing their $1 million project seeking $133,208 in funds.

Qual Dairy Inc. from Lisbon, ND follows at 11:30 a.m., presented by Mark Qual. Their project totals $366,085.65 with a request for $364,331.78.

After lunch at 11:50 a.m., the session resumes at 1:00 p.m. with Red Pine Distillery from Grand Forks, ND presented by Tyler Seim. They propose a project worth $1.1 million and are requesting $350,000.

Associated Potato Growers Inc., also from Grand Forks and represented by Mike Torgerson at 1:20 p.m., have proposed a project costing $476,419 and are seeking full funding for this amount.

A break is scheduled for 1:40 p.m., after which Pride Dairy Inc. from Bottineau will present their proposal at 2:00 p.m., led by Kriss Allard. Their project costs total $1,139,750 with an ask of $500,000.

At 2:20 p.m., Frontier Meat Processing LLC from Minot will be represented by Emily Clauson to discuss their project valued at $850,000 with a funding request of $184,000.

The meeting concludes with funding decisions set for discussion at 2:40 p.m., followed by adjournment at 4:00 p.m.
