The North Dakota Aeronautics Commission (NDAC) has published its monthly report on airline passenger traffic at the state's eight commercial service airports. The report reveals that April 2025 was a record-breaking month for air travel in North Dakota, with 104,271 passenger boardings. This figure surpasses the previous record of 95,181 set in April 2014 and represents the twelfth consecutive month of increasing passenger numbers.

Compared to April 2024, there was an 11% increase in passengers, amounting to an additional 10,159 travelers using the state's airports. Fargo's Hector International Airport recorded a new high for April with 47,232 boardings, exceeding its prior peak of 41,466 from April 2024. Fargo has now experienced thirteen consecutive months of record passenger activity.

Statewide statistics for April 2025 include a total of 104,271 airline passenger boardings and 137,856 available departure seats. The average aircraft load factor was reported at 76%. There were 1,680 successful airline departure flights and only five cancellations, resulting in a low cancellation rate of just 0.3%.
