The North Dakota Department of Commerce has allocated $50,614 to a single organization as part of the sixth round of the Regional Workforce Impact Program (RWIP). This initiative aims to fund regional workforce entities in developing innovative solutions to their most pressing workforce challenges.

Commerce Workforce Director Katie Ralston Howe commented on the significance of this project, stating, “This project represents a meaningful step toward strengthening North Dakota’s workforce. By expanding access to childcare, we’re removing a major barrier for working families and supporting long-term economic growth in the region.”

The recipient of this funding is Delight & Co., which plans to use the $50,614 grant to expand and enhance childcare services in Ward County. The organization intends to remodel its current facility, transitioning from a group license that serves 30 children to a center license capable of accommodating approximately 300 children. This expansion is expected to significantly increase access to quality childcare in the area, benefiting families, employers, and the local economy.
