All zones in Williams County and all township gravel and chip seal roads are subject to new travel restrictions as of today. The restrictions, effective from 10:30 a.m. CST, limit the gross vehicle weight (GVW) to 20,000 pounds until further notice. Any previously approved permits are now void.

Earlier in the day, at 9:00 a.m. CST, restrictions were set at a 6-ton axle weight limit with an 80,000-pound GVW. These measures are also in place until further notice, and any prior permits have been invalidated.

Additionally, from 6:15 a.m. CST today, all zones in Williams County have been restricted to "no oversize travel," which includes no over height, over length, or overweight travel until further notice. Permits for oversize travel approved before this announcement are no longer valid.

Officials will continue to re-evaluate road conditions throughout the day due to forecasted rain.
