The North Dakota Department of Commerce's Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) program has excelled in the 2025 American Consumer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) report. According to the federal Office of Community Services (OCS), North Dakota achieved a score of 93, significantly higher than the national average of 73.
The state topped all others in categories including Distribution of Funds, Use of Discretionary Funds, Monitoring and Corrective Action, and Linkages. These results indicate no interruption in fund distribution, responsive use of discretionary funds, consistent monitoring, and effective partnerships.
CSBG Administrator Ben Faul expressed pride in his team's dedication, saying, "I am incredibly proud of the collaborative efforts and dedication of our team and partners. Achieving such high scores across multiple dimensions is a testament to our commitment to provide exceptional service and support to our community."
Conducted by the CFI Group on behalf of the Administration for Children and Families, the survey was distributed via email from December 3, 2024, to February 6, 2025. Out of 1,016 surveys sent, 546 were completed nationwide, yielding a response rate of 54%.
The Department of Commerce acknowledges these achievements and aims to maintain high service standards for its Community Action Partners and the residents of North Dakota.
