Mandan Public School District has announced that Megan Schaff, a social studies teacher at Mandan High School, has been awarded the Teacher Spotlight Award by Active Life Chiropractic. This recognition highlights her commitment to fostering both academic and personal growth among her students.
Megan Schaff, a social studies teacher at Mandan High School, was honored with the Teacher Spotlight Award by Active Life Chiropractic for her dedication to students' academic and personal development, according to Active Life Chiropractic.
"Mrs. Schaff pushes her students to always put forth their best effort when doing assignments, projects, and tests. She also encourages us to step outside our comfort zone so we have the best chance at success. She helps guide her students to be the best version of themselves and pushes them to put forth their best effort everyday. Mrs. Schaff gives great advice to use in life during and after high school so her students have the best chance at success," said a student.
Mandan High School is located at 2335 4th Ave NW in Mandan, North Dakota. It is overseen by Principal Mark Andresen, with assistance from Assistant Principals Aaron Koenig and Alyssa Caya, as well as Activities Director Mark Weist. The school enrolls students who have completed eighth grade and received recommendations from their previous institutions. Transfer students are required to submit a satisfactory transcript along with a North Dakota Department of Health Certificate of Immunization.
Mandan Public School District's mission is to provide students with rigorous and personalized learning experiences while helping them develop social and emotional skills for success. Mandan School Board consists of nine members and serves as the policy-making body for the district, with authority only during formally called meetings. The Board sets policies, approves budgets, establishes goals, manages property, and links the district and the public, Members include President Sheldon Wolf, Rick Horn, Amy Schanandore, Marnie Piehl, Kama Hoovestol, Darren Haugen, Lori Furaus, Tom Peters, and Jake Schmidt. The Board operates with standing committees focused on facilities, finance, policy, personnel, and student achievement. Dr. Mike Bitz is the superintendent.
