May is recognized as National Bike Month, an initiative promoted by the League of American Bicyclists. This month, communities across the United States are celebrating the role of bicycling. The Bismarck-Mandan Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is participating in this event by highlighting the advantages of cycling and motivating individuals to consider biking as a mode of transportation and recreation.
According to the Bismarck-Mandan MPO, "May is National Bike Month, promoted by the League of American Bicyclists and celebrated by communities across the United States. The Bismarck-Mandan MPO is joining the League in showcasing the benefits of bicycling in our communities, and encouraging more people to give biking a try!"
The initiative aims to bring attention to the positive impact of cycling on health and the environment, as well as to promote safer and more connected environments for cyclists.
