The Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library invites the community to its Get Growing Spring Showcase 2025. This week-long event offers a variety of interactive, family-friendly programs focusing on gardening and creative learning.

The showcase includes several notable activities, such as a Henna Tattoo Workshop on May 3 by Achala Aull, local artist, and a Plant Health Session led by Dr. Craig Whippo, also on May 3. For younger participants, Star Wars Terrariums for Kids will be offered on May 4 in collaboration with Roberts Floral & Gifts. The Tower Garden Class on May 5 introduces garden products, and on the same day, teens and adults can join the Seed Paper Craft Workshop for papermaking.

Additionally, families can engage in the Soil Science in a Jar event on May 6 with Billi Jean Petermann, Ph.D., and a Seed Ball Creation activity on May 8, assisted by NDSU Extension, which includes a pollinator activity. Participants do not need gardening experience to join these activities, which are open to all interested parties.

All events during the showcase are free, but registration is required due to limited space and supplies. More information and registrations can be completed by visiting tinyurl.com/BVMPL-GetGrowingShowcase or by calling 701-355-1489.

The events will be held from Saturday, May 3, 2025, to Thursday, May 8, 2025, at the Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library. The library encourages attendance from individuals of all ages and welcomes media coverage.

For additional details, contact Traci Juhala, Head of Youth Services, at the Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library, 515 North Fifth Street, Bismarck, ND 58501, USA. A media kit is available at bismarcklibrary.org/2221/For-the-Media.
