The Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library is hosting its annual Get Growing Spring Showcase from May 3 to May 8, 2025. This event is a week-long series of programs aimed at engaging the community in gardening and creative activities.

Activities include a Henna Tattoo Workshop led by local artist Achala Aull and a Plant Health Session with Dr. Craig Whippo on May 3. On May 4, children can participate in the Star Wars Terrariums activity with Roberts Floral & Gifts.

Further highlights include the Tower Garden Class on May 5 and a Seed Paper Craft Workshop for teens and adults. Families can enjoy learning about soil science with Billi Jean Petermann, Ph.D., on May 6, and partake in Seed Ball Creation with a focus on pollinators on May 8. NDSU Extension is assisting with this activity.

The library ensures that all events are free but notes that registration is required due to space and supply constraints. Interested individuals can register online or call for more information.

The showcase is accessible to all ages, and the media is also invited to attend.

For more details, Traci Juhala, Head of Youth Services, is available for contact.

The event is organized by Kevin R. Tengesdal, Public Information Specialist at the library.
