The North Dakota Department of Transportation is set to commence the Interstate 94/Red River Structure Repair Project in Fargo. The initiative targets structural repairs, bridge deck overlay installation, and guardrail replacements, aiming to improve safety, traffic flow, and extend the bridge's lifespan connecting Fargo, North Dakota, and Moorhead, Minnesota.

The construction activities will begin on Monday, April 28, involving the overnight closure of the right lane of westbound I-94 and reducing the westbound entrance ramp from 8th Street in Moorhead to a single lane. These particular closures will last through May 2025, facilitating the installation of a temporary metering system and traffic barriers.

Motorists are advised to anticipate further traffic impacts as the project advances. Updated information is available at www.dot.nd.gov/I-94RedRiver.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation advises motorists to slow down and exercise caution throughout the work zone.
