Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak, representing North Dakota's Republican party, will join Senator John Hoeven in welcoming U.S. Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins to Fargo, North Dakota, on April 22. As expressed by Rep. Fedorchak, "I’m excited to join Senator Hoeven in welcoming Secretary Rollins to North Dakota and showing her one of the things our state does best—agriculture. Our farmers and ranchers are second to none, and their work not only drives our state’s economy but helps feed and fuel the world."
Senator Hoeven highlighted the significance of North Dakota's role in agriculture. "Our farmers, ranchers and agri-businesses have built North Dakota into a world leader in production agriculture," he said. He expressed hope that Secretary Rollins will gain insight from local feedback to aid in reinforcing agricultural policies and initiatives.
The event schedule includes a roundtable at North Dakota State University (NDSU) at 11:00 a.m. CT, followed by a meeting with students at 12:30 p.m. CT. Precision agriculture technology demonstrations will be held at Grand Farm at 2:00 p.m. CT, with media availability and technology demonstrations taking place subsequently.
The visit will conclude with a tour of the American Crystal Sugar Company in Moorehead at 4:15 p.m. CT, where additional media availability is set for 5:00 p.m. CT.
