The City of Bismarck's Human Relations Committee (HRC) has extended the deadline for submissions for its Humanitarian Award. Initially set to end on April 20, the deadline has been moved to May 15 due to a change in the committee's meeting schedule.

The Humanitarian Award acknowledges individuals and organizations that have shown leadership in human and civil rights over the past year. This year includes the addition of a youth category. The award focuses on recognizing those who contribute to education on, and the identification and addressing of, human rights issues.

Nominations can be submitted in several ways:

- Online through the City's website by 11:59 PM on May 15.

- Emailed by 11:59 PM on May 15, including all required information from the online form.

- Delivered in person to the Bismarck Administration Department by 4:59 PM on May 15, containing the necessary details from the online form. The department is situated on the fourth floor of the City/County Building at 221 North Fifth Street, Bismarck.

- Mailed nominations must be postmarked by May 15 to be eligible, with all information from the form, addressed to:
