North Dakota Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak has marked her first 100 days in office by spotlighting initiatives benefiting the state's energy, family, and agricultural sectors. Since assuming her role in January, Fedorchak has focused on policies to reduce regulations and bolster American energy.
"We hit the ground running," Fedorchak stated. "In just 100 days, we’ve made real progress cutting burdensome regulations, promoting American energy, and delivering results for the people who make our state great—and we’re just getting started."
To maintain constituent engagement, Fedorchak connected with over 130 organizations, interacted on radio shows weekly, and held a telephone town hall with over 3,000 North Dakotans.
On the energy front, Fedorchak supported measures to combat what she sees as restrictive policies, including co-sponsoring the repeal of the methane tax and introducing a resolution against the “Once-In-Always-In” rule. She has actively sought to improve grid reliability, challenging Biden-era regulations.
Fedorchak is advocating for the swift passage of the Farm Bill, hosting a roundtable with House Agriculture Committee Chairman Glenn Thompson and local agriculture leaders. Furthermore, she has engaged the Trump administration's trade team on tariffs and fair trade.
On land use, Fedorchak introduced the North Dakota Trust Lands Completion Act with Senators Hoeven and Cramer, aiming to develop state-owned lands. Additionally, she collaborated with Rep. Harriet Hageman on the Landowner Easement Rights Act to give landowners more leverage over conservation easements. She opposes the Bureau of Land Management’s Resource Management Plan affecting oil and gas leases in North Dakota.
In national security, Fedorchak has backed legislation like the SAVE Act for electoral proof of citizenship, and visited the U.S.-Mexico border to assess border management challenges, voting for various acts to improve safety.
Fedorchak has been pivotal in passing the conservative House budget, representing President Trump’s priorities like border security and domestic energy expansion. "Every day my team and I are focused on solving problems for North Dakota citizens and delivering policy solutions. This is just the beginning," she concluded.
