The Bismarck Fire Department cautions city residents about the importance of adhering to burn restrictions. These restrictions are activated when the fire danger index is at "Very High" or "Extreme" levels or upon the issuance of a Red Flag Warning by the National Weather Service.

Currently, a Red Flag Warning has been issued, covering the Bismarck area, and it will remain active until 9 PM. This warning arises from expected high winds and low relative humidity.

With these conditions in effect, all forms of recreational burning are prohibited. This includes the use of outdoor fire pits, fireplaces, portable outdoor fireplaces, and chimineas.

The Bismarck Fire Department emphasizes the importance of adhering to these restrictions to ensure community safety.
