The application deadline for the Governor’s Band/Orchestra and Choral programs in North Dakota has been extended to April 14, 2025. Governor Kelly Armstrong made this announcement, inviting school, community, and church musical groups across the state to apply for the 2025-2026 school year.

The Governor and First Lady will select two groups based on their musical talent, accomplishments, and community engagement. These groups may be invited to perform at official state events throughout the year, such as the State of the State Address.

Groups interested in participating should submit their applications, references, and musical recordings to the Governor’s Office by 5 p.m. on April 14. The chosen groups will be announced later in April and may perform at the Capitol in May 2025 and during events throughout the 2025-2026 school year. Applications and additional materials can be completed at the following website: https://www.governor.nd.gov/governors-chorus-and-bandorchestra-program-application.
