The Public Works Department has announced that Spring Clean-Up Week will take place from April 21 to 26, 2025. During this annual event, city residents are encouraged to utilize special waste collection and free dumping services at the landfill.
The City landfill will operate on April 19, and from April 21 to 26, opening each day from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Residents can place bulky items on the boulevard curb by 5 a.m. on their designated garbage days. Items must be placed no more than 24 hours before the collection. To ensure the items are picked up, they should be placed separate from household garbage, and unwanted items should be clearly marked.
Furniture and appliances that can be lifted by two people will be collected, provided the appliances are free of food and other materials. Residents in mobile home parks must coordinate with the park manager, while those in apartments need to place items along city-maintained streets at a safe distance from dumpsters, garbage, and recycling totes.
Multiple trucks and crews may be collecting items during the week, and some items such as electronics will be picked up separately. Items not eligible for collection will receive a pink tag indicating their status.
