The 2nd Annual Leadership Rising Conference, organized by Dickinson State University’s School of Business & Entrepreneurship in collaboration with Baker Boy and the Theodore Roosevelt Honors Leadership Program, is set to take place on April 29, 2025. The event will be held at the Student Center on the DSU campus and is supported by the North Dakota Economic Diversification Research Grant.
This conference aims to enhance coaching skills for business leaders, mentors, educators, and coaches. It promises a dynamic half-day session from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (MT), filled with leadership insights.
Students from DSU’s Theodore Roosevelt Honors Leadership Program have been instrumental in planning the conference. "It has been a joy to guide these exceptional Theodore Roosevelt Honors Leadership students as they take on the challenge of planning this conference," said Debora Dragseth, Baker Boy Professor of Leadership. Students involved have expressed their enthusiasm about contributing to this event. Henry Maughan noted his gratitude for being part of the student team, while Cash Randle highlighted the opportunity to apply what they've learned in real-life scenarios.
Speakers at the conference include Iona Stookey, Jarett Andretti (virtually), Adam Andretti (virtually), and Pete Stanton. Iona Stookey is recognized for her achievements in high school volleyball in Montana. Jarett Andretti will discuss leadership and perseverance drawing from his experience as a professional race car driver and entrepreneur. Adam Andretti will share his racing wisdom and competitive spirit gained from various motorsports experiences. Pete Stanton will present "The Playbook for Success: Coaching a Championship Team," focusing on achieving sustained excellence.
Registration for the conference is free but required due to limited availability. Interested participants should register by April 15, 2025, with V.I.P registrants receiving a complimentary gift.
