Senators John Hoeven and Kevin Cramer, along with Representative Julie Fedorchak, have announced that the North Dakota State University (NDSU) Bison football team will visit the White House and U.S. Capitol on April 9. The visit is in honor of the team's victory in the NCAA Division I FCS national championship. Senator Hoeven has been coordinating this event following discussions between him, Senator Cramer, and President Donald Trump to arrange the invitation.
"The Bison are tremendous representatives of our state, having developed a record of excellence through their hard work, dedication and strong leadership. We are looking forward to honoring their achievements on April 9 with this visit to the White House, and we appreciate President Trump and his team for working with us to make it happen," stated Senator Hoeven.
Senator Cramer expressed enthusiasm by saying, "Like President Trump, the Bison never get tired of winning. Looking forward to celebrating our victory together."
Representative Fedorchak added her thoughts: "In North Dakota, we take pride in our agriculture, our energy, and our North Dakota State University Bison. With 10 national championships in 14 years, NDSU represents nothing short of football dominance. Their unwavering commitment to excellence, teamwork, and resilience embodies the best of our state, and I’m thrilled to see them honored by President Trump at the White House."
NDSU President David Cook also commented on the significance of this event: "Our Bison football team's national championship victory is a source of great pride for the entire NDSU community and the state of North Dakota. Their invitation to the White House highlights the exceptional talent and determination of our student-athletes. We thank Senators Hoeven and Cramer for joining us in celebrating this remarkable milestone."
