President Donald Trump delivered his first major address to a joint session of Congress since his inauguration in January. The speech focused on securing the southern border, promoting international peace and strength, and investing in the American economy.

Following the address, U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) issued a statement praising President Trump's message. "Tonight President Trump said it all when proclaiming, 'AMERICA IS BACK!'" Senator Cramer stated. He highlighted Trump's accomplishments such as securing the southern border, facilitating peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia, and addressing issues related to violent immigrants.

Senator Cramer also noted that President Trump cast "a vision for a stronger, freer, more prosperous and respected nation." He mentioned that Trump's speech resonated with everyday Americans by highlighting heroes and grieving families present in the audience.

Cramer criticized Democrats in attendance for their reactions during the address. "All the while Democrats in the Chamber sneered, heckled and booed," he remarked. He expressed disappointment at their response to stories of personal sacrifice shared during the speech.

"You don’t have to hate America because you hate President Trump," Cramer concluded. "As for me and my family, we love both."
