Dickinson State University (DSU) has announced a series of personnel updates, including promotions and new hires. The university expressed its appreciation for the dedication of its staff and looks forward to their continued contributions.
Makayla Grijalva has joined DSU as an admissions counselor. Originally from New Mexico, Grijalva graduated with a degree in journalism and multimedia communications from the University of New Mexico. She brings experience from local newspapers and public relations work with the New Mexico Higher Education Department. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in Youth Development at North Dakota State University.
Troy Huber, who has been a resident of Dickinson for over 30 years, has taken on the role of Controller at DSU. A 1989 graduate of DSU, Huber previously worked as a program manager for Consortium before joining the university team.
Mark Martinez has been appointed as the Accessibility Services and Tutoring Center Coordinator at the SOAR Center. He holds a degree from Fresno Pacific and a master's in history from Norwich University. With eight years of experience as a behavioral interventionist and mentor, Martinez is eager to continue his career in higher education.
