Senator John Hoeven of North Dakota has successfully passed a resolution in the Senate to block President Biden's Natural Gas Tax. The Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolution was approved by a vote of 52 to 47. This follows the passage of similar legislation in the House, led by Congressman August Pfluger from Texas. The resolution now awaits signing into law by President Trump.

Senator Hoeven stated, "We depend on natural gas for a wide array of needs, from manufacturing to home heating and cooking, all of which were going to be more expensive as a result of President Biden’s Natural Gas Tax." He added that moving the legislation through both chambers marks an important step towards reversing what he describes as harmful policies under the Biden administration.

The initiative is part of Senator Hoeven's broader agenda aimed at enhancing America's energy capabilities and removing various taxes and regulations introduced during President Biden's tenure. Key objectives include improving access to taxpayer-owned energy resources, streamlining approval processes for energy development and infrastructure construction, reducing energy production costs, combating inflation, and lowering prices for consumers.
