Gov. Kelly Armstrong has designated March 2025 as Pride of Dakota Month in North Dakota. The month-long celebration will feature a special event, Pride of Dakota Day, at the state Capitol on Thursday, March 6.
Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring stated, “More than 25 Pride of Dakota companies will be selling and sampling unique products such as gourmet foods, art, books, jewelry, clothing, home decor and more.” He emphasized the opportunity for visitors and state employees to shop for these unique products and meet their creators. Goehring encouraged those unable to attend the Capitol event to support local businesses in their communities.
The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Capitol’s Memorial Hall and Legislative Hall on the first floor. Additionally, lunch featuring North Dakota commodities and products will be available at the Capitol Café from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., which will also host a new permanent retail area with Pride of Dakota items.
Admission is free and open to everyone. Parking is accessible on the east and south sides of the Capitol building, with entry through security at the south entrance required.
