Gov. Kelly Armstrong has ordered all U.S. and North Dakota flags to be flown at half-staff from dawn until dusk on Friday, February 28, in honor of state Representative Josh Christy from Fargo, who passed away on February 18 at the age of 43. The governor encourages residents of North Dakota to do the same at their homes and businesses.

Funeral services for Rep. Christy are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Friday, February 28, at Living Waters Lutheran Church located at 4451 40th Ave. S., Fargo. Following the service, burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Fargo. A visitation is planned from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at the church, followed by a prayer service at 7 p.m., and will continue from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday before the funeral.

Rep. Christy was elected to the North Dakota House of Representatives in November 2022 and was participating in the legislative session in Bismarck when he passed away.
