Bismarck Historical Society to host program on local fire department’s history

The Bismarck Historical Society is organizing a public program focused on the history of the Bismarck Fire Department. The event will take place on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM in Meeting Room A at the Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library.

Guest presenter Chris Anderson will lead the session, which will include historic photographs and key milestones from the fire department’s 153-year history. Retired Battalion Chief Rob Carlson contributed research for the presentation.

The event is free and open to all members of the public. Additional information about the program can be found on their Facebook event listing or by visiting the Bismarck Historical Society online. Suggestions for future presentations can be submitted via email.
