Agriculture Diversification and Development Fund Committee meets to review funding requests

The Agriculture Diversification and Development (ADD) Fund Committee is scheduled to convene on Wednesday, February 26, at 1:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Bismarck Mandan Chamber EDC located at 1640 Burnt Boat Rd., Bismarck, ND.

The agenda for the meeting includes several key items. It will begin with a call to order followed by a business meeting where minutes, financials, guidelines and application reviews, and eligibility questions will be discussed.

Several projects are set to be reviewed during the meeting. At 1:20 p.m., Adam Wagner from Vertical Malt in Fisher, MN will present their project with a total cost of $3,185,000 and a request for $500,000 in funding. Following this presentation at 1:40 p.m., Greg Campbell from Campbell Inc. in Grafton, ND will discuss their project costing $800,000 with an identical funding request of $500,000.

At 2:00 p.m., Kevin Throener from KT Cattle Feeders in Cogswell, ND will present their project which has a total cost of $3 million and also seeks $500,000 in funds. After a break at 2:20 p.m., Piet Van Bedaf from VanBedaf Dairy in Carrington, ND will discuss their project valued at $579,440 with a requested amount of $382,430.40.

Casey Murphy from Cows and Co Creamery in Carrington, ND is scheduled to present next at 3:00 p.m. Their project totals $1,203,857.75 with a funding request of $340,627.50. Finally at 3:20 p.m., David Duma from Gideon’s Brewing Company Inc in Bismarck presents their full-funded project totaling $261,220.

Following another break at 3:40 p.m., there will be discussions about the projects starting at 4:00 p.m., leading into funding decisions which are slated for discussion by 4:30 p.m.. The meeting is expected to adjourn by 6:00 p.m.
