The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) North Dakota’s political action committee (PAC) recently announced its endorsement of U.S. Congressman Kelly Armstrong for governor on Monday. Armstrong, who boasts a 96% lifetime voting record with NFIB in Congress, has been recognized multiple times with the Guardian of Small Business Award.
“Kelly Armstrong’s proven record of supporting small businesses while serving in the state legislature and Congress makes him the best choice for North Dakota’s next governor,” said NFIB North Dakota State Director Don Larson in a press release. “As the former vice president of his family’s business, Armstrong knows firsthand the challenges small businesses face. He is committed to lowering taxes on North Dakota businesses and families and reining in agencies and burdensome anti-business regulations. Kelly Armstrong is the clear choice for North Dakota small business.”
“I am honored to receive NFIB’s endorsement to be the next Governor of North Dakota,” Armstrong said in response to the endorsement. “As a former small business owner, I know the unique circumstances each business faces from workforce challenges to overburdensome regulations. I look forward to continuing to work with NFIB to ensure North Dakota small businesses can thrive.”
As Election Day approaches on Tuesday, November 5, the NFIB’s political support highlights candidates' positions and records on critical small-business issues. Small business owners and their employees are known for their strong voter turnout and their efforts to encourage others to participate in the electoral process.
