SBA Pro-Life America has endorsed U.S. Rep. Kelly Armstrong (R-ND) in his race for North Dakota governor.

“We’re proud to endorse Kelly Armstrong, who has an A+ rating on our national scorecard,” SBA Pro-Life posted on X. “ While his Democrat opponent’s #1 priority is rolling back North Dakota’s protections for life, Kelly consistently stands up to the abortion lobby and puts serving moms and their babies first.”

SBA Pro-Life America, formerly known as the Susan B. Anthony List, is a political advocacy organization focused on promoting pro-life candidates and policies, as well as alternatives to abortion. The organization also engages in lobbying efforts at the federal and state levels to advocate for the defunding of abortion providers and the passage of pro-life legislation.

SBA Pro-Life America was founded in 1992 and is named after the 19th-century women's rights activist Susan B. Anthony.

"Our full family of organizations is united in the singular mission of saving innocent and vulnerable human life. We work cooperatively to meet the pro-life movement’s need to maximize election outcomes, and to enhance policy research and education for policymakers and the public," its website states.

A native of Dickinson, N.D., Armstrong was first elected to represent the state’s at-large congressional district in 2018. Prior to serving in Congress, Armstrong was a member of the ND State Senate from 2013 to 2018.

Before entering politics, Armstrong practiced law in Dickinson and was involved in his family’s oil and gas business. Armstrong graduated from the University of North Dakota and received his law degree from the University of North Dakota School of Law. He is married and has two children.

"(Armstrong) currently has the honor and privilege to serve as North Dakota’s lone member of the U.S. House of Representatives where he is a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, and the Select Committee on the Weaponization of Government," his website states. "Now, (Armstrong) wants to bring his experience back to North Dakota to serve as the state’s next governor."

His website states that his priorities include continuing to fight for lower taxes, property tax relief and reform; defending life at all stages; the opiod crisis; securing the borders; Second Amendment rights for law-abiding gun owners; addiction and sentencing; protecting the Rule of Law and giving farmers and ranchers the opportunity to succeed.

"Finally, Kelly is running for governor because he truly loves North Dakota. North Dakota is the Armstrongs' home and Kelly has worked hard to make it a better place. He will go to work every day to defend our jobs, our values, and our way of life. Kelly Armstrong has always been a fighter. He’s not afraid to confront challenges head on," his website states.
