The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has announced the allocation of $4,431,195 to Minot Public School District 1. These funds are designated to support Head Start and Early Head Start programs. These initiatives aim to promote early childhood learning, health, and development, alongside family and community support services.

Senator Kevin Cramer commented on the grant, emphasizing its importance for the community: "These funds will ensure that children in Minot have access to high-quality early education and care. It’s an investment in our future."

Head Start programs are federally funded initiatives that provide comprehensive early childhood education, health, nutrition, and parent involvement services to low-income children and families. Early Head Start serves pregnant women, infants, and toddlers up to age three.
