U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND), a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, recently appeared on NBC's "Meet the Press NOW" to discuss the drone attack in Jordan that resulted in the death of three American soldiers. Senator Cramer expressed his concerns about the escalating aggressiveness of Iran and called for a stronger response from the United States.

Senator Cramer emphasized the need for the United States to project strength in the face of Iran's aggression. He criticized the use of expensive missiles to take down small drones and highlighted the importance of addressing the underlying weakness that allows such attacks to occur. Senator Cramer also highlighted the impact of the attack on a North Dakotan soldier who is currently receiving treatment at Walter Reed Medical Center.

When asked about President Trump's reaction to the attack, Senator Cramer defended the former president's approach. He pointed out that President Trump had taken a tougher stance on Iran and had not engaged in appeasement policies, such as allowing them to develop nuclear weapons or providing financial incentives.

Shifting gears to the ongoing negotiations regarding the southern border, Senator Cramer expressed his support for a deal that would allow for the immediate return of individuals at the border. He criticized the current practice of giving court dates to individuals and releasing them into the country, arguing that it sends a signal of unseriousness about border security.

Senator Cramer highlighted the importance of demonstrating movement in the right direction on border policies. He noted that swing voters have already judged President Biden's approach as ineffective and called for action to address the illegal transfer of individuals and drugs across the border. Senator Cramer also mentioned the significance of mandates in this regard and suggested that President Trump would have even more authority to address the border crisis if he were to be reelected.

In response to the suggestion that the border crisis should be reserved for a more politically opportune time, Senator Cramer emphasized the need for compromise and finding common ground. He urged the House Speaker to put the border bill on the floor and let the will of the House prevail over the politics of the day.

Senator Cramer's appearance on "Meet the Press NOW" provided insights into his views on the drone attack in Jordan and the ongoing border negotiations. He called for a stronger response to Iran's aggression and highlighted the need for immediate action to address the border crisis. Senator Cramer's remarks underscore the importance of projecting strength and finding solutions to these pressing issues.
