Graduates earn 260 degrees from the University of Jamestown

About 27.7 percent of the 260 degrees and certificates handed out by the University of Jamestown in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Jamestown conferred 36 bachelor's degrees and 36 doctor's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a doctor's degree in physical therapy/therapist. Data shows the school gave out 36 doctor's degrees in physical therapy/therapist, followed by 34 bachelor's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse and 31 bachelor's degrees in general business administration and management.

The university enrolled 1,089 students for 2017-18, including 893 in undergraduate programs and 196 in graduate programs.
