Bismarck police investigate crash involving student near high school

A 15-year-old student from Bismarck High School was hospitalized after being hit by a truck on North 7th Street near the school, according to local police.

Police responded around noon to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the 700 block of N 7th Street. Officers found the student with serious injuries to her lower body.

Authorities stated that initial findings show a 46-year-old man was driving southbound on North 7th Street when his truck hit the student as she was crossing eastbound in the crosswalk toward the school.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
