Motorists using Memorial Highway will encounter a new traffic pattern starting Thursday, October 23. The shift will move vehicles from the temporary roadway on the north side to a section of concrete paving on the south side. This change is necessary for crews to install a new water main and begin paving work on the north side.

The most noticeable changes will occur near the intersection with 46th Avenue SE, where milling operations are set to start Thursday morning. Traffic coming from the I94/Bismarck Expressway ramp from the north will be limited to traveling west onto Memorial Highway or east into Bismarck. Drivers heading southbound onto 46th Avenue SE are advised to use the McKenzie Drive exit temporarily. The route for ramp traffic will change often as work continues at this intersection.

Business entrances near 46th Avenue SE have been paved and will remain accessible during this transition. Flaggers will be present in several locations to help guide drivers through the new configuration.

"Motorists are reminded to stay alert, watch for changing signage, and follow posted directions to help maintain safety for both drivers and crews during this phase of construction."
