Construction on East Century Avenue continues to move forward, according to Knife River Corporation. The company announced that 52nd Avenue has been fully paved with asphalt and now connects with the new intersection at Century Avenue. Major concrete paving was completed last Saturday, with another session scheduled for Thursday and an additional one planned for Saturday. The section of roadway east of Roosevelt Drive is now about 80% finished, leaving only a final layer of pavement and some minor work on connecting side streets.

Once the paving is done, crews will begin building a new sidewalk and shared-use path aimed at improving accessibility and safety for pedestrians and cyclists.

Despite delays caused by recent weather conditions, the project remains on track to finish as originally planned. "We anticipate completion to align closely with the original timeframe," Knife River Corporation stated.

Andrew Osborn, Public Relations Coordinator, expressed appreciation for community cooperation: "We truly value your patience and cooperation throughout this project. Your understanding has played a key role in keeping the project on track. As we move closer to completion, we’re excited about the long-term benefits these improvements will bring—enhanced safety, smoother travel, and better connectivity for everyone in our community."
