Senator John Hoeven posted a series of statements on social media between September 11 and 12, 2025, addressing topics ranging from the commemoration of the September 11 attacks to policy decisions affecting rural communities and livestock producers.
On September 11, 2025, Senator Hoeven reflected on the anniversary of the terrorist attacks in the United States. In his post, he stated: "Today we remember the victims of the terrorist attacks on 9/11 and honor the brave heroes who answered the call. We condemn those acts of terror and stand united in defending the freedom and values that make America strong. Never forget."
Later that day, Hoeven commented on recent changes to federal land management policy. He wrote: "Rescinding the BLM Public Lands Rule is a win for farmers, ranchers, and energy producers who rely on balanced, multiple-use access to public lands. Thanks to @SecretaryBurgum and @Interior for restoring common-sense management that supports rural communities." The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Public Lands Rule had previously set new guidelines for managing public lands with an emphasis on conservation. Its rescission marks a shift back toward policies favoring multiple uses such as agriculture and energy production.
On September 12, 2025, Hoeven addressed disaster relief efforts for livestock producers affected by natural disasters over two consecutive years. He announced: "This second round of livestock assistance brings total aid to $2 billion to help livestock producers recover from natural disasters in 2023 and 2024. We secured this disaster assistance to help producers with tough conditions and we appreciate @SecRollins for working with us to" This funding aims to support agricultural communities facing losses due to severe weather events during those years.
Senator John Hoeven represents North Dakota in the U.S. Senate and has focused much of his legislative work on supporting rural economies, agricultural interests, and energy development.
