Stingers defeat Larks 8-3 with early offensive surge

The Willmar Stingers secured an 8-3 victory over the Bismarck Larks on Wednesday evening.

Bismarck opened scoring in the first inning when Ricardo Aponte grounded out to third base, allowing Jesus Vasquez to score. Tyson Greenwood started on the mound for the Larks and managed to leave the bases loaded in the second inning. In the third, Jordan Kuhnau hit a two-run double, followed by Brock Larsen’s three-run home run, putting Willmar ahead 5-1. The Stingers added two more runs in the fourth inning.

Nash Rippen contributed with a two-run home run for Bismarck in the fifth inning, bringing the score to 7-3. However, Bismarck was unable to add any further runs for the remainder of the game.
