The Williams County Vector Control District (WCVCD) is set to carry out an aerial application in Grenora on the evening of July 26 or July 27, 2025. The operation may be postponed if conditions are unfavorable.

The product Imperium will be used for this spray. Imperium's active ingredient is Deltamethrin, which has received approval from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for residential mosquito control.

Residents are advised to take precautions against mosquito bites during dusk to dawn in the summer months. Recommended actions include wearing long sleeve tight-knit shirts and long pants, limiting outdoor activities during these hours, and using mosquito repellents such as DEET, Picardin, or oil of lemon eucalyptus. Additionally, eliminating standing water on properties can help prevent mosquito re-population.
