The Mankato Moondogs secured a victory against the Bismarck Larks with an 11-4 win on Sunday evening. This win allows the Moondogs to maintain their lead in the Great Plains West Division for the second half of the season.
The game saw the Moondogs gradually accumulate four runs over the first three innings. Bryant Viskovich contributed significantly by hitting his first home run of the season during the second inning. Tony Lira added to the score with an RBI double in the sixth inning, bringing it to 5-0 in favor of the Moondogs.
Despite this, the Larks made a comeback attempt in the later innings. They managed a five-hit rally in the bottom of the sixth inning, scoring two runs before a base-running mistake ended their momentum.
