Weather permitting, the Williams County Vector Control District (WCVCD) will carry out aerial adulticide mosquito control treatments in Trenton and nearby areas from July 16 to July 19, 2025. The schedule may change if conditions are unfavorable.
Residents are advised to take precautions against mosquito bites when outdoors during dusk to dawn hours in summer. Suggestions include wearing long-sleeved, tight-knit shirts and long pants, reducing outdoor activities during these times, and using mosquito repellents like DEET, Picardin, or oil of lemon eucalyptus. Additionally, eliminating standing water on properties can help prevent mosquito re-population.
The product used for this treatment is Imperium, containing Deltamethrin as the active ingredient. Imperium has been approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
