In her new position, Noah will oversee DSU’s Division of Student Affairs, which includes Campus Life, Campus Safety and Security, Financial Aid, Health and Counseling Services, DSU Williston and Bismarck, and the Student Opportunity and Resource (SOAR) Center. This model aims to unify support services for DSU’s diverse student population.

Noah has been instrumental in expanding mental health services and launching DSU’s Student Success Advising model. “I am deeply committed to removing barriers and creating systems of support that truly work for DSU students,” she stated.
Noah is pursuing an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership at the University of North Dakota. She holds a Master’s degree from UND and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Dakota. Her previous roles include Director of the SOAR Center and Disability Services Specialist at DSU.
"Kayla has a rare ability to balance strategic leadership with day-to-day student care," said Dr. Holly Gruhlke, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost.
Noah's appointment aligns with national trends emphasizing student belonging and well-being. “Student Affairs is about more than services—it's about cultivating a community,” Noah added.
